Dear Editor:

Mayor Rudy Giuliani was so affected by the terrorist attacks last year that he has volunteered to be bin Laden's executioner if he is tried and sentenced to death. Many of us share in his sentiments. At the same time, we should take note that millions of Muslims and Arabs view the atrocities committed by Ariel Sharon at the Sabra and Shatilla refugee camps to be equally horrific. Neither bin Laden nor Sharon was personally present for the horrors they perpetuated on innocent civilians - and yet they are responsible. While almost the same number of innocent civilians died at Sabra and Shatilla as died on September 11th; it is truly sad to see Sharon feted by the White House rather than brought to justice in Belgium where he has been indicted by a War Crimes Tribunal. Both Osama bin Laden and Ariel Sharon deserve to be brought to justice.
