For decades, Palestinian women have been at the forefront of the resistance against Israeli occupation and the backbones of their communities. In this episode of Women of Palestine, we interviewed Palestinian women about how they see their role in Palestinian society and what Sumud, or resilience, means to them. During the ongoing genocide, women in Gaza have stepped up and assumed various roles and responsibilities, despite being targeted and in a constant state of grief. They are running shelters, managing soup kitchens, providing psycho-social support, and caring for their families in tents all with little to no resources and while surviving a genocide.
